由于海上风电的特殊性，备用发电机组也是必不可少的，风力发电机没有并网发电之前，海上的很多用电都需要发电机组支撑，比如前期风力发电机的安装、调试及维护，以及抵抗台风等，都需要备用发电机组的可靠供电，同时也特别需要发电机组有复杂且可靠的控制器系统。

Due to the less economically exploitable wind resources on land, the global wind power plant construction has appeared the trend of development from land to offshore. Compared with land wind power stability and zero dust emission advantages, while reducing the wear of the unit to extend the service life, the offshore wind power is suitable for large-scale, the energy efficiency is 20%~40% higher than land wind plants, but also has the advantages of no land, high wind speed, less dust, large electricity, operation and development.

On account of the specific of offshore wind power, the standby genset are also essential. Before the wind units are not connected to the grid, a lot of electricity at sea needs the support of the genset, such as the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the wind unit in the early stage, as well as the resistance to typhoons, etc., all need the reliable power supply of the standby genset. At the same time, it is particularly necessary to have a complex and reliable controller system for the genset.

Recently, the HGM9420N controller of SmartGen was applied to an offshore wind power project, providing strong support for the stable operation of more than 300 fans.
