the things that grew me
the most
were the things in
my life that became ghosts
what I once thought
made me found
were actually rocks
weighing me down
I didn’t realize before
that they made me drown
concrete blocks
instead of socks
sometimes perspective
takes years to see
things I thought were suffering
were actually
the best things for me
what a gift to see it now
all the pain and the trial
were only mere
delays for awhile
and there were things
they were teaching me
how beautiful
it is to finally see
