王叔晖 ( 1912.8 -1985.7 )，字郁芬，祖籍浙江绍兴，生于天津，是现代著名工笔重彩人物女画家。1949年参加工作，历任出版总署美术科员，新华书店总管理处美术室图案组组长，人民美术出版社连环画创作组组长、专业画家。

王叔晖先生的画意、风格主要是大胆地借鉴西方绘画的技法，既能够在传统技法中画出时代气息，又保持了中国传统文化的精髓。先生的工笔重彩技巧功力深厚，笔法顺畅，用笔精湛、细腻、潇洒、流畅，色彩典雅、清新，仕女造型优美，人物清秀、端庄雍容，形象生动，神态、衣冠等准确、严谨。先生的画，场面设计概括性强，抓取的瞬间凝练、集中，能充分的表现故事的精华，人物的气度、神韵也都表现的淋漓尽致。

王叔晖先生作画题材以古代仕女为主，绘画人物造型含蓄中略加夸张，线描健劲有力，落墨洁净，设色明艳清雅，一扫明清以来的颓废画风，开一代新气象。王叔晖学古不泥古，用她的话讲就是：“绕开道，走自己的路”。同时，她也没有拒绝西方的绘画经验，合理的吸收了比例、解剖、透视等创作技巧。尤其在整体价值取向上，她追求的是纯中国的古典式审美情趣，在“尽精微”的工笔重彩画中追求“致广大”的生动气韵。
