《钢笔字范》于民国三十八年（1949）初版。新中国成立后，邓散木先生是国家首批简化汉字推广工作者之一，当时广泛的简化字钢笔字帖就是由散木先生亲笔书写的。本书是邓散木先生与白蕉合作的一部钢笔字帖，真、行、草三体书法各具特色。
