由贵家悠原作、橘贤一作画的科幻热血漫画《火星异种》，曾大获好评并制作了同名改编动画。但因作者身体欠佳，系列漫画在2018年底宣布休刊后就再也没有新的消息。
而在此之前就因作者贵家悠健康问题于2017年第14期（3月1日出版）的《Young Jump》上宣布了休刊消息，并且直至一年后的4月才恢复连载。
近日官方宣布了《火星异种》再度恢复连载的消息，将于4月4日开启新一话。
此外官方网站上还开启了漫画免费阅读的活动，在4月24日之前，都能在《Young Jump》的官网上免费阅读《火星异种》目前240话的全部内容。
