7月31日，《华尔街日报》登出了一条题目为《中国是怎样拿下拉丁美洲的》稿件，内容还是老一套，讲中国怎么往他们的后院“渗透”、中国的影响力在怎么增长、怎么才能遏制住。
学过地理的都懂，中国与拉美处于拓扑对称，恰恰处在地球的两端，距离最远，经贸往来挺多，但确实不太容易施加影响力，所以笔者也不知道中国怎么就“拿下”了拉美。但这稿件里有一句话，看来挺刺耳的，照录如下：
“For half a century, the West has been trying to bring China into the coalition of the civilized .” “在过去的半个世纪中，西方始终在试图把中国拉入文明国家的联盟。”
这纡尊降贵、高人一等的傲慢劲儿还真是挺 侮辱人的。中国怎么就不是“文明国家”了？
While it is absurd enough to suggest that China “took” a continent that, for it, is as good as being on the other side of the world, it is a grave offence to claim that China is outside the “civilized coalition”.
翻翻这篇稿件全文，不难看出，他们说的“文明国家”指的就是西方国家而已。
既然聊到这，那我们就看看，西方国家究竟有多“文明”。
A browse at the article shows it perhaps surmises that the Western world is a “civilized coalition”, making one wonder how they define the word “civilized”.
十六世纪大航海时代开启，西方国家仗着船坚炮利，“发现”了一块又一块早就有人居住、甚至有繁荣国家的地方。他们带着枪炮、靠着欺诈与背信弃义的手段征服了大片土地并将其变成殖民地，仅在美洲一处就导致大量原住民灭绝。殖民主义祸害全世界、种族灭绝的痕迹依然在，这可曾算得上文明？

犯下这些事的不都是些强盗吗？怎么强盗的后代换身干净衣服，就装起文明人来了？
即使在二战后七十多年的今天，西方国家也没有住手。中东是他们搞乱的，目的是为了控制石油；从北非到西亚，一国又一国的“颜色革命”是他们掀起的，目的是为了找个听话的代理人。
Even today, it is the West that triggers conflicts in the Middle East, so that they can control the oil there. It is the West that launched color revolutions in one sovereign country after another in the hope of establishing puppet regimes there.
这一桩桩一件件，哪有半点“文明”的影子？如果这叫“文明”，那我们都不知道怎么定义野蛮了！

最具有讽刺意味的是，《华尔街日报》里不缺精英，他们比谁都清楚自己的祖先干了什么、自己的后台老板现在又在干什么，但他们依然大言不惭地吹嘘自己“文明”。
这种迷之自信来源于西方国家在舆论场上的强势地位，有了舆论霸权，有些西方媒体才好意思指鹿为马、颠倒黑白，才敢把西方称为“文明的联盟”。
Despite having the answers, the WSJ called the West “civilized”. Their blind confidence stems from the West’s hegemony in the field of public opinion. 这种冒天下之大不韪的谎每撒一次，都是在损害他们自身的根基，也在损害西方的媒体霸权。终有一天，他们那点可怜的媒体霸权会被自己消耗干净，到时候他们的鬼话就彻底找不到人听了。
However, every lie they spread weakens the foundations of their hegemony and the more such lies they spread, the faster their monopoly will crumble.
